What Makes Kiteboarding in the Philippines so Great

The Philippines are the definition of paradise for kiteboarders. You will find every type of riding including flat water and waves topped off with warm waters and reliable trade winds. In Boracay you will find the most infrastructure with less and less as you travel around the other islands. You can find comfort or explore the unknown to uninhabited islands and isolated beaches- the choice is yours.

Infrastructure Available in the Philippines

Boracay Island is the most popular and developed kiteboarding destination in the Philippines. Bulabog Beach is filled with kite schools offering anything you may need including lessons and rentals. The infrastructure is excellent with a variety of restaurants and nightclubs to choose from. The rest of the islands are quite undeveloped- all locations listed under “Philippines for Beginners” offer kite lessons and rentals but may lack other resources.

Airplanes, busses, ferries, jeepneys, tricycles, taxis or car rentals are available for getting around in the Philippines. Though taxis are generally way more expensive- it is sometimes more worth it when you have a ton of gear to carry around.

Other Activities to Enjoy

Go surfing, diving, SUPing or wakeboarding. Coron is world class for wreck diving and snorkelling. The kite season is also a great time to see whale sharks- a great no wind activity. If you are into the party scene be sure to check out Boracay and the cities including Manila and Angeles City.
