Beautiful landscapes around us, the big city of Izmir on 40 minutes, staying at a nice low profile surflodge in a typical small turkish village, around 30 sunny degrees on your head, friendly local people … but especially super lovely kite conditions for every level. For beginners to freestylers there is a big shallow flat water lagoon right at our doorstep, perfect for our high intense coaching pack included! We created a wonderful package, with everything included, so you don’t have to think about anything more than your boardshort, kite gear or which bikini you will wear! Just relax from the moment you leave the plane and we will bring you to our nice surflodge.

The area has everything anyone could ask for from a large flat water lagoon to a gently curving water down the river. The lagoon is where most of the kitesurfing takes place during this camp and is part of the river. At different states of the tide, the shallow water create super flat circumstances, perfect for learning waterstarts or nailing that handle pass you’ve been working on!

With enough space to accommodate everyone who wants to ride, there are no crossed lines or near misses. For the real dear devils, there are a few wakestyle obstacles right in front of the beach and with our exclusive progression coaching pack, Nico and Pinar will get you on a higher level for sure! The wind is side shore and makes it easy to return back on the sandy beach.

High season spans June, July and August, with good and consistent wind. The wind is stronger in the morning were 8m kites are the most common (typical wind 18-25+kts), and in the middle of the afternoon, the wind drops slowly to 10m weather, and slowly dies by the end of the afternoon. There is sand everywhere in the kiting area, with bits of seaweed here and there, so you don’t really need wetsuit booties if you are not a total beginner.

Water temperature in the lagoon in high season is usually warm but for those wanting to kite all day, a boardshort instead of bikini only is perfect to protect for the sun.

Some advice There are many different ways to get to Izmir airport. The most popular airlines are TUI, Pegasus, Turkish Airlines, Ryanair plus a number of other smaller charter companies doing the same thing.. Of course this also depends on your country of departure. There are also charters which flies direct from Brussels or Dusseldorf. The flights are available from €375,- both ways. Don’t forget to check the luggage prices when taking your own gear! Once arrived at Izmir, there will be a transfer arranged by us and after a one hour journey, you will arrive at the house. Or if you’re from Turkey, we will welcome you at the house with a nice welcome drink.

Visum For Turkey you need a visum and trust us, it’s easier to get one before you start to travel. Further, your passport needs to be valid for 6! more months to get into the country.

As an extra addition to this trip we offer an intensive coaching program with a well known dutch / turkish coaching couple to offer you girls an amazing and high class coaching training!

Kelly Schouten & Pinar Basoglu are famous as international coaches from Oceanbirdz & KiteAcademy and they trained already a lot of international riders before you. They love to teach you high class (freestyle) tricks that your already working on for a while. Especially Kelly can give slider trainings to the ones that dare to take it to the next level! Of course our crew will be around for the support we always give you, but trust us, Pinar (PinPin) makes you do that extra mile. :)

Just started kiteboarding? Don’t worry, even a first transition, jump or ride upwind are a cool adventure with this couple.

Especially for this camp, they offer a coaching program + video analysis in small groups so you get all the attention needed. This package consists of warming up before the session and strech classes after + intense training in the water and an evening of one on one video analysis tips per week. Of course we will help you outside the hours as well, but you need to practice in between to get your progress to the maximum!

Next to our warming up & strech lessons before and after the sessions, we will make a upwind trip, do a downwinder, organize barbecues, sings at the campfire, take you on tour to the nearest city and at the lodge we have a storage full of (board) toys like we always do! Think of wake boarding behind the boat, SUP boards, skateboards, slackline and so on…

A day without the expected wind? Grab a skateboard and hit the miniramp, rent a paddleboard to cruise in the river, a bicycle to visit around, go for a wakeboard session, or just chill & relax at the pool, go shopping nearby, explore further afield to discover the many secrets of the hidden Turkish Aegean cost, where they serve good wines and prepare fresh fish.

In case there is no wind we will offer other board sport options or replace the lessons when possible.
